Mayday

Movie 2026 111 min Action, Comedy Last reviewed 11 Sep 2026
Official Rating M ClearAge 13+ Quality β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜†

Why our age differs

Official is M. We say 13+ because the fighting is moderate and gore stays limited. Swearing is regular, but it is mostly milder words, with at least one f-word

Our take

Mayday is a tense Cold War spy film. A Navy pilot is stuck in hostile country, planes get shot down, and there is some blood. You will hear a lot of swearing, mostly the s-word, hell, and damn, plus at least one f-word. Teens who already watch this kind of action should be fine. Younger kids will find it too much

Uplifting themes

Two people who should be enemies choose to help each other survive The pilot keeps trying to do right by his country even when the mission goes wrong The Cold War setting can start a talk about trust, orders, and propaganda

Story (may spoil tone)

When a U.S. Navy pilot on a top-secret mission during the Cold War gets trapped behind enemy lines, his only chance at survival is to form an alliance with an eccentric ex-KGB agent.
