Our take

This is a wartime chapter serial, not the later Batman films. Batman and Robin punch crooks, chase a spy ring, and face a radium gun and people turned into blank-eyed helpers. The Japanese villain is drawn as a cruel stereotype, and that runs through the plot. Fine for most kids 10 and up with a parent. Younger kids may find the cliffhangers loud, and the racist jokes need a talk
