Our take
This is a flashy live-action comic film, brighter than the 1989 Batman but still about crime and revenge. Two-Face and the Riddler cause chaos with guns, gadgets, and a brain-draining device. A circus family dies. A psychologist flirts with Batman. You hear hell, damn, and the b-word. People talk about a suicide at work that does not add up. Fine for most kids 12 and up with a parent. Sensitive kids may struggle with the family deaths and the scarred face

Story (may spoil tone)
Batman faces off against two foes: the schizophrenic, horribly scarred former District Attorney Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face, and the Riddler, a disgruntled ex-Wayne Enterprises inventor seeking revenge against his former employer by unleashing his brain-sucking weapon on Gotham City's residents. As the caped crusader also copes with tortured memories of his parents' murder, he has a new romance, with psychologist Chase Meridian.
