Our take
This is a heavier animated crime story than most Batman cartoons. A high-school hero faces a laughing villain, with talk of old murders, a shooting, a blast, and a young partner who was badly hurt. Fine for most kids 12 and up with a parent. Sensitive tweens may want to skip the cruel villain scenes
