Our take
This is an animated Halloween-style Batman film, not a kids Scooby crossover. Dracula turns people, and you hear a lot about blood and dead bodies. There are guns and monster scares. Fine from 12 with a parent if your child already handles darker cartoons. Little kids who fear vampires should skip it
Uplifting themes
The hero tries to save the city, including people the villains have already hurt Batman keeps working to stop the vampire even when friends are at risk
Story (may spoil tone)
Gotham City is terrorized not only by recent escapees Joker and Penguin, but by the original creature of the night, Dracula! Can Batman stop the ruthless vampire before he turns everyone in the city, including The Caped Crusader, Joker and Penguin, into his mindless minions?

Talk after watching
- Dracula looks like a man but acts like a monster. How do you tell charm from danger?
- Batman tries to stop a whole city being turned. What would you save first?
