Our take

A high-school girl learns that kissing someone shows her how they will die, then tries to stop a masked killer targeting her friends. Knife attacks, murder-mystery dread and plenty of first-kiss romance run through it. Language includes the f-word, the s-word and milder swearing. Fine with a parent from 13 for kids who already handle soft teen slashers; younger or scare-sensitive viewers may want to wait.

Laurel always imagined her first kiss would be a fairy tale. Instead, that fantasy turns frightening when she's cursed with an ability to see the death of anyone she kisses. After a vision reveals her crush is doomed to die in a strange murder spree targeting her closest friends, she races to unmask the killer before the mystery becomes a massacre.
