Our take

A young diver searching for his late father's remains is trapped inside a massive sperm whale with about an hour of oxygen left. Sustained panic, crushing whale-stomach set pieces, a giant squid in the mix and painful father-son flashbacks come with it. Fine with a parent from 13. Kids who hate tight spaces or drowning dread should skip it.

Following the death of his father, Jay Gardiner goes diving off the central Coast of California in search of his remains, but is swallowed by a massive sperm whale.
