Dementium is a not-rated psychological horror about a man who retreats to a cabin to solve his mother's murder and takes DMT to confront his dead father. Expect frequent f-word language, drug use as the main story engine, witch visions, and talk of murder and suicide. A body wrapped in plastic and hallucinatory dread set a heavy adult tone. Best for older teens who can handle drug-fueled horror with a parent nearby.
Uplifting themes
Hope and love compete with despair inside the visions. Those softer notes do appear, but they never erase the heavy horror tone around death and drugs A caring ex pulls toward connection, even as darker forces push back. That support is one of the few steady human anchors in an otherwise bleak story
Story (may spoil tone)
Wyatt Bailey retreats to a secluded cabin to solve his mother’s murder. After taking DMT to confront his dead father, he’s torn between visions of his ex-girlfriend offering hope and a witch urging destruction in a battle for his soul.

A mother's murder, a corpse in a trunk, and witch-pushed violence hang over the story. The threat stays present even when the scares move into hallucination

You hear a lot of strong swearing, mostly the f-word, plus the s-word and damn in fights. Arguments and panic stretches carry most of the coarse language rather than quiet cabin scenes

DMT use is the main plot engine and fuels the horror visions from early on. The trip is not a brief montage; it drives what the lead sees, hears, and fears

Suicide talk ties to drug use and a body discovery, without a graphic attempt on screen. The references are still heavy enough for older-teen caution

A body wrapped in plastic and murder aftermath keep injury detail present. Parents should expect corpse imagery more than endless slash-fest gore

Taking DMT to chase answers could look like a how-to to curious teens. The film treats the drug as the doorway into the horror, which makes the method feel central

Depression, anxiety, and a fracturing mind sit inside the trip itself. The horror leans on psychological collapse as much as on the witch threat

Grief for a murdered mother and a dead father powers every choice. Loss is not a side theme; it is why the lead keeps pushing into the visions
