Our take

Ohh My Dog is a Hindi-language adventure that follows a boy searching for a stolen dog while another dog seeks its kidnapped teenage owner. Threats against people and animals, a missing child, and a sinister blood-testing scheme make this darker than a simple pet story. Swearing is occasional; smoking and a passing suicide remark also appear. We put it at around 14 and up, with a parent nearby for the child and animal peril.

Uplifting themes

Loyalty between kids and dogs is the heartbeat, and the story cares about working families, not only pets. Courage is shown as stubborn love. That is worth talking about after the tension drops Apu will not abandon his dog, and Oscar will not abandon his boy. Grown-ups around them are mixed. The animals and the kids are the ones who keep showing up The film can start a talk about child labour, kidnapping, and how pets get used in bigger crimes. It is still an adventure first. Keep the facts gentle if you unpack the darker layer

Story (may spoil tone)

In Assam, 14-year-old Apu embarks on a desperate quest to rescue his beloved dog, Momo, after he is kidnapped. Elsewhere, in Bihar, a devoted dog named Oscar sets out on a perilous journey to find his kidnapped owner, a 15-year-old child labourer. As their journeys unfold, it becomes clear that the two kidnappings may be connected to a larger, sinister plan.

Goons threaten to kill, and a dog is treated as a weapon in the chase. Earlier talk about killing an animal sits in the same world. The fights are adventure-tense, not a gore reel, and kids still hear the stakes

Damn it and the s-word pop when people are late, scared, or cursing a dog. It is occasional, not a barrage. Fine for many teens, still noticeable in a family film

Someone tells a dog to give a kiss, and later a boy is said to be in his underwear. It is brief and not played as a sex beat. Parents of younger kids may still want a heads-up

A cigarette shop is pointed out, and someone is needled about not lasting a day without a smoke. It is adult habit in the background. Not a drug plot, still on screen

Kidnapping and ransom talk start early, then a missing child and abduction denials keep the dread going. The two searches feel perilous for a long runtime. Sensitive kids who love animals will feel this in the chest

A passing line makes a dismissive claim about people dying by suicide. No attempt is shown, but the wording may catch families off guard

A 14-year-old searches for a stolen dog while a 15-year-old working child is missing after an abduction. Both minors face danger through much of the story

A kidnapped teen is a child labourer, and someone sneers about abducting a poor, deprived kid. Class and work sit under the adventure. It can open a talk about who gets protected

Blood-testing camps and needle pricks are part of the darker plot, and a gun salute is named at a burial. You do not get a wound montage. The medical detail still feels sinister next to kids

A young teen sets off alone to pursue people involved in a kidnapping. His determination is admirable in the story, but it would be unsafe to copy

Talk after watching

  • Apu goes after the dog himself. When is it brave to act, and when should a kid pull in grown-ups?
  • The story ties a stolen pet to a missing working child. What do we owe kids who do not have a safety net?
