Superintelligence is a light comedy about a powerful computer studying one ordinary person. Jokes about ending the world and fake explosions provide the mild danger, while swearing stays mostly in the hell, damn, and crap range. There is flirty talk, wine, and a beer offer. We put it at around 10 and up, with a parent nearby for children unsettled by the idea of an all-powerful AI.
Uplifting themes
Carol has to show that ordinary kindness and second chances matter more than perfect resumes. The film roots for people being messy and still worth saving. Easy family talk after Carol keeps trying to do right by friends and an ex even while an AI is grading her. She is flawed, funny, and stubborn in a good way. Kids can like her without copying every joke It can open a simple chat about privacy, big tech, and who decides what AI should do. The science is comic-book light. Still a useful hook for curious tweens

The joke premise is that an all-powerful computer might wipe us out, which can feel a bit eerie under the laughs. Loud fake explosions punctuate a few bits. Younger kids who fear AI stories may need a pause
