What we flagged
View all categoriesOur take
A birthday party grows into a neighbourhood riot, and Project X wants the chaos to look like the best night ever. Teen drinking, ecstasy, nudity, constant swearing and copyable stunts run through it, with few consequences that stick. We would keep this for 17 and up, especially because the party is sold as something to envy.
Uplifting themes
The three friends do stick up for each other when the night spins out of control, and there is a small moment of loyalty in the middle of it. The film mostly cheers on reckless fun though, so any lesson gets buried
Story (may spoil tone)
Three high school seniors throw a party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, things spiral out of control as word of the party spreads.
