Our take

Chloe uses a wheelchair and rarely leaves the house Diane runs like a clinic. As Chloe digs into her pills and past, the story turns into a tight psychological thriller about control, lies, and escape. Mild swearing spikes in the climax, and a gun standoff plus talk of past self-harm land hard. We land at MA 15+ and up because the mother-daughter abuse thread and late violence are meant for older teens, not family night

Uplifting themes

Chloe's curiosity and courage push back against lies. The takeaway favors questioning authority when something feels wrong Chloe and a few outsiders show empathy and persistence. Diane is deliberately unsettling as a parental figure

Story (may spoil tone)

Chloe, a teenager who is confined to a wheelchair, is homeschooled by her mother, Diane. Chloe soon becomes suspicious of her mother and begins to suspect that she may be harboring a dark secret.
