Our take

Tim invites the wrong person to a work retreat, and the mistake grows into a string of uncomfortable scenes. The Wrong Missy relies on drinking, crude sex jokes and embarrassing behaviour for its laughs. We would keep it for 16 and up.

Uplifting themes

Tim eventually chooses honesty with Melissa. Most messages are buried under crudeness Melissa stays kind; Tim learns a little. Missy is a deliberate anti-role model

Story (may spoil tone)

A guy meets the woman of his dreams and invites her to his company's corporate retreat, but realizes he sent the invite to the wrong person.

Talk after watching

  • Tim keeps trying to fix the Missy problem without telling Melissa the truth. When does hiding a mistake become unfair to someone new?
  • Missy treats boundaries like a joke. What would real support look like after a breakup?
