Mindhunters is a mid-2000s island whodunnit with FBI trainees, traps, and a rising body count. Strong swearing is frequent, guns stay in play, and characters discuss rape and murder as profiling talk. The mood is paranoid and bloody rather than comic. We land at 17 and up because grisly killings, a shower sex scene, and repeated strong language make MA 15+ too low
Uplifting themes
Teamwork and honesty are tested until almost nothing is left. Any uplift is thin beside the killer-game engine A few agents try to protect the group and keep cooler heads. Suspicion and ego override loyalty for long stretches
Story (may spoil tone)
Trainees in the FBI's psychological profiling program must put their training into practice when they discover a killer in their midst. Based very loosely on Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.

Talk after watching
- The team profiles each other until trust collapses. How do you stay fair when everyone looks guilty?
- Talk of past assaults is used as a profiling clue. Why might that kind of detail be hard for some viewers even when nothing is shown?
