Why our age differs

Official is US TV-PG. We say 10+ because romantic kissing and adult dating jokes sit above a soft kids holiday film

Our take

Single All the Way is a bright holiday romance comedy about family pressure, fake dating, and finding real feelings. Kissing and flirty talk stay mild, and wine shows up at parties and family dinners. Swearing is light, mostly damn and crap. We land at 10 and up because the romance and adult dating jokes need a bit of maturity, even when the mood stays kind

Uplifting themes

Honesty about feelings beats keeping up a holiday performance for relatives. Chosen family and kindness get the last word when the fake-dating plan falls apart Friends show up for each other even when the plan goes sideways and egos bruise. Parents fuss about status, yet the film still values care over cruelty

Story (may spoil tone)

Desperate to avoid his family’s judgment about his perpetual single status, Peter convinces his best friend Nick to join him for the holidays and pretend that they’re now in a relationship. But when Peter’s mother sets him up on a blind date with her handsome trainer James, the plan goes awry.

Kissing and make-out talk sit inside a fake-boyfriend Christmas plot. A light porn joke and FOMO-sexual quips stay comic, not graphic

Wine runs through family dinners, present wrapping, and last-minute store runs. Adults drink socially to loosen holiday stress; nobody spirals into addiction

Talk after watching

  • Peter pretends to be in a relationship to calm his family. When does a white lie stop being funny and start hurting people?
  • Family keeps asking why he is still single. How would you want relatives to talk about dating without pressure?
