Our take

David Cronenberg's MA 15+ drama follows a widower using grave-monitoring tech while grieving his wife. Strong sexual content, full nudity, a sex scene where a pelvis fractures, and violent beats such as grave vandalism and severed fingers all appear. Body-horror imagery and grief themes stay adult throughout. Best for mature viewers around 17 and up.

Uplifting themes

Love and memory still matter, though the story stays bleak and cautionary Grief pushes the lead into ethically troubling decisions

Story (may spoil tone)

Inconsolable since the death of his wife, prominent businessman Karsh Relikh invents a revolutionary and controversial technology that enables the living to monitor their dear departed in their shrouds. One night, multiple graves, including that of Karsh’s wife, are desecrated, and he sets out to track down the perpetrators.
