Our take
TV-MA-level Ozploitation horror about a beach-house party that turns into a home-invasion bloodbath. Practical gore draws praise, but brutal violence, frequent profanity, underage drinking and an attempted sexual-assault reference are part of the package. Best for mature horror fans rather than younger teens.

- Why do revenge horror films make villains so extreme?
- The film mixes comedy and brutality. How does that affect how violence lands?
