Our take

A low-budget horror thriller about friends who hitch a ride to a Texas music festival and realize their driver may be linked to disappearances. Amazon lists it US R for violence, substance use, smoking, foul language and sexual content. Frequent strong language, murder talk, party drinking and survival dread, rather than graphic torture.

Talk after watching

  • Horror movies often punish characters for trusting strangers. What real travel safety habits matter?
  • Friends joke about true crime until danger feels real. When does dark humor cross a line?
