Our take
An anime-style Middle-earth battle epic about Helm Hammerhand's last stand. Rated M for intense violence, bloody images and thematic elements. Sword fights, siege warfare, traitor scheming and talk of monsters in the woods feature throughout. Best for teens already comfortable with LOTR-level fantasy combat.
Uplifting themes
Courage, sacrifice and defending one's people under impossible odds Helm and his allies show resolve and protectiveness, though war hardens everyone
Story (may spoil tone)
A sudden attack by Wulf, a clever and traitorous lord of Rohan seeking vengeance for the death of his father, forces Helm Hammerhand, the King of Rohan, and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg.
