Our take

A woman with amnesia begins to question the account her husband gives of her past. The mystery involves human trafficking, repeated drugging and a man who appears to intend sex with her after she has refused him. There is also a deliberate hit-and-run and other fatal danger. Very little sexual activity is shown, but the threat and control are worth knowing about before watching with a teen.

Uplifting themes

She keeps searching for the truth even when others want her silent The woman keeps searching for answers, while her husband remains controlling and dishonest

Story (may spoil tone)

After discovering she has a family and a shipping empire, a woman with amnesia returns to a wealthy and seemingly perfect past to uncover why she left.

Talk after watching

  • If someone you love said your memories were wrong, how would you know whom to trust?
  • Trafficking is part of this mystery. What would you want your teen to take from that?
