Our take

A man convicted after a betrayal hunts his former partner once free in Dacoit (2026), an unrated revenge thriller. Vengeance weaves through robberies and brutal fights. Graphic action violence, rape named in dialogue, cigarette smoking, and a cold line about writing a death up as suicide all appear. ClearAge puts it around 16 for mature older teens and adults.

Story (may spoil tone)

Betrayed by his better half, a man is convicted for a crime he didn't commit. Once free, he hunts her down in pursuit of vengeance, as their stories intertwine with a series of robberies.

Damn, hell, and bloody turn up in English lines, with strong Hindi swearing and the f-word mixed in. Intensity goes past light PG insults. Families on English subs alone can still feel that heat in the performances

Romance and revenge strands cross with kissing and flirtation between adults. No nudity shows up. Nothing builds into an explicit sex scene either

Cigarette smoking is frequent, including during the Covid-set stretches, and drinking shows up now and then. Hard drugs are not part of the plot. Smoking is the substance parents will notice most

Guns and knives held to throats keep people under threat, and a gang attack raises the danger. A vehicle stuck on train tracks adds a short panic beat. Thriller tension rules here, with little calm

Writing a death up as suicide so it looks like something else comes up in talk. No attempt is shown and no method gets focus. The line stays short and cold inside the plot, without becoming a self-harm story

Parents who died young come up in conversation, and that loss shapes who people trust. The film is not funeral-centered. The ache sits under the romance and revenge
