Our take

96 Minutes traps a bomb-disposal expert and other passengers on a high-speed German train with a ticking deadline. Explosion peril, violence talk, grief references, and moderate language run through the crisis. The disaster-thriller tension never really lets up. ClearAge leans toward 16; older teens fit better than younger kids.

Uplifting themes

Even while carrying guilt from an earlier bombing, strangers and responders keep choosing to protect other passengers. The story argues that revenge violence only creates more pain for everyone involved Under pressure, teamwork, courage, or compassion shows up in how people behave and talk. Those better impulses surface mainly through dialogue during the crisis

Story (may spoil tone)

Former bomb disposal expert and his fiancée board a high-speed train. Also, a well-known physics teacher who was involved in an affair scandal, also boards the same train in order to win back his wife. At the same time, there's a bomb on the train!

Passengers sit trapped on a high-speed train under a bomb threat, while flashbacks and fights bring stabbings, strangling, and a man set on fire. The countdown and a prior deadly explosion keep that peril alive for most of the film

Several character backstories carry multiple references to loss. When the crisis hits, grief is already part of who those people are
