Our take
Young Macy is abducted by a monstrous figure who wants to raise her as a child. Dialogue includes rainbow blood talk, monster denial, kiss refusal and frequent strong profanity. Child abduction and captivity themes are central and disturbing. Not for younger viewers.
Uplifting themes
Survival instinct appears, but with little comfort

Talk after watching
- Macy must survive someone who sees her as family property. How do stories explore control versus care?
- Monster labels hide human cruelty. When do horror villains mirror real predators?
