Diving businessman Rashdan watches bomoh folk-healing conflict pull his family in. Must-not-kill rules, bitter blood, bullying accusations, kratom water, and joint savings for Hajj all surface in the talk. Supernatural pressure and family duty share a regional drama tone. Teens used to subtitled dramas are the sweet spot.
Uplifting themes
Even when his methods slide into foolish superstition, Rashdan's loyalty to his daughter's future feels sincere. Sakinah gets space to argue for science and faith against scam charms Sakinah holds the steadier line at home, challenging wasteful superstition while she keeps caring for Nisa. Rashdan loves his daughter too. What comes through from him is mostly panic and gullibility
Story (may spoil tone)
Rashdan is a businessman who provides diving services. He has a wife, Sakinah and a daughter, Nisa. Rashdan has been a believer in the superstitious practices and superstitions of his ancestors since childhood, while Sakinah, a medical graduate, believes more in science and believes that as a Muslim, prayer is a powerful weapon in requesting anything he wants. When Nisa did not get 'straight A's in her SPM triak exam, Rashdan panicked because he really wanted his daughter to be the first in her family to study abroad. On the advice of his assistant, Alam, Rashdan forced Sakinah and Nisa to travel all over the country looking for the best amulets so that her daughter's SPM results would be excellent. Every shaman/dukun they met turned out to be a "scammer" shaman who actually only wanted to deceive them and not help Nisa's decision.

Odd charms and ritual instructions from the shamans are unsafe to try at home. Most get framed as scams on screen. That scam framing undercuts the dare to copy them
