Our take
Fly Me to the Moon is a glossy comedy about a marketer dropped on the Apollo 11 launch. You get kisses, cigarette and drink scenes, hell-and-s-word language, and the real Apollo 1 deaths named as history. Fine for 13+ who already watch grown-up rom-coms. Not a kids space film
Story (may spoil tone)
Sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones, brought in to fix NASA's public image, wreaks havoc on Apollo 11 launch director Cole Davis' already difficult task of putting a man on the moon. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as backup, and the countdown truly begins.

Talk after watching
- The film jokes around a real moon shot. Did the jokes help or get in the way?
- Smoking is everywhere in the period. How do you talk about that with kids who copy?
