Our take

A Legend drops an archaeologist into a jade-and-glacier fantasy with armies and a monster. You get battle killing, a murdered father under the quest. Fine for 13+ who already watch big Chinese fantasy action. Sensitive kids will find the kill-them-all orders loud

Story (may spoil tone)

An archeologist noticed that the texture of the relics discovered during the excavation of a glacier closely resembled a jade pendant seen in one of his dreams. He and his team then embark on an expedition into the depths of the glacier.

Talk after watching

  • A dead father starts the quest. Is revenge the point, or something else?
  • The battles are big and distant. Did that make the killing feel smaller?
