Our take

Two nuns defy church rules to attempt a forbidden exorcism on a possessed boy. Ritual dread, supernatural violence, harsh insults from the demon and a heavy religious tone come with it. Smoking appears, and past bullying of the child is named. Fine with a parent from 15 if they already handle exorcism stories. Younger teens who find child peril or loud possession scenes upsetting should skip it.

Desperation drives two nuns to perform an exorcism no nun should attempt. With a possessed child at the mercy of evil and the opposition of the Catholic Church, they take on the dangerous forbidden rituals themselves, putting their immortal souls in grave danger. They must confront the terrifying cost of their sacrilegious actions, but one goal remains: the boy must be saved at all costs.
