Why our age differs

Official is PG. We say 10+ because comic gun and bomb set-pieces, frequent s-word, and a suicide joke sit above a soft PG watch

Our take

The familiar Dhamaal crew is back for another slapstick treasure scramble, loud set-pieces and bungled plans included. Comic ghost panic, goons with guns, bomb talk, and plenty of the s-word in the English subs all land in the mix. Romance flirtation and underwear jokes stay silly. Families who already enjoy broad Bollywood comedy will find it easier around age 10 with a parent nearby.

Uplifting themes

When schemes collapse, friendship under pressure keeps the gang moving. Loyalty and teamwork still peek through the greed jokes. That soft upside is worth naming if you talk afterward. Call the leads lovable idiots first and tidy role models second; they still stick together when the chase turns rough. Adults nearby can point out when loyalty helps and when treasure fever takes over. During the chase, treasure rivals wave guns, shout kill threats, and fumble with a bomb. Beating and goon scuffles join the comic action mix. Everything plays loud and silly, yet weapons and threats are plain on screen

English subs keep the s-word coming, along with damn, hell, and sharp insults. The f-word stays off the table, but swear-sensitive homes will still notice how often it shows up. Preview the dialogue first if mild foul language is a hard line

Silly underwear ghost jokes and flirt talk leave the innuendo firmly in comedy. A couple of romantic beats wonder aloud whether it is the right moment to get romantic. Nothing graphic appears on screen

Ghost panic in a house, undercover-ghost jokes, and a monster-chase gag keep the crew jumpy. Jump-scare energy is comic and short-lived. Kids who spook easily can still tense up in those stretches

During the scramble, a brief suicide word lands in dialogue. No method and no attempt appear on screen. Give a quiet heads-up if that topic is raw at home

In the treasure fight, guns show up and a bomb turns into a late gag-weapon. Blood talk stays mostly comic, without wound close-ups. Parents will clock the firearms ahead of any graphic injury

Lighting and throwing a bomb at rivals get talked through on screen, and guns get waved around as props. The bungling comedy framing keeps it silly. Still a fair moment to say real explosives and weapons are never a joke

Talk after watching

  • The friends keep chasing treasure even when plans blow up. When is greed funny, and when does it get mean?
  • Ghost bits are played for laughs. Did any scare still feel real to younger viewers?
