Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans smashes the silly TV Titans into their darker 2003 versions, then makes them cooperate when villains pile on, including Trigon. Most of it is cartoon brawling and ghost gags, with demonic whispering played for laughs more than horror. Younger fans of the Go! show will get the jokes. A parent nearby helps if the devil imagery or the yelling gets a bit much. We put this at 8 because the slapstick stays loud even when the scares are mostly comic.
Uplifting themes
Putting differences aside and working as one team is the whole point. The silly Titans and the serious Titans both have to listen. Friendship and cooperation win over the villain pile-on Both teams start petty, then show up for each other when the big threat arrives. Robin-types argue about leadership in ways kids will recognise. The models are imperfect kids learning to share the spotlight
Story (may spoil tone)
The comedic modern-day quintet takes on their 2003 counterparts when villains from each of their worlds join forces to pit the two Titan teams against each other. They'll need to set aside their differences and work together to combat Trigon, Hexagon, Santa Claus (that's right, Santa!) and time itself in order to save the multiverse.

The two Titan teams punch, blast, and chase each other in bright cartoon fights before they unite. Hits look like TV slapstick, with nobody staying hurt. It is loud and constant without realistic injury

Gentleman Ghost, demonic whispering, and Trigon bring monster flavour, mostly as gags. Little kids who dislike devil imagery may still feel a chill. The comedy usually undercuts the scare before it lands

Talk after watching
- The two Titan teams cannot stand each other at first. What helps rivals decide they are on the same side?
- Trigon is a devil figure played partly for jokes. Did the humour make him feel safe to you, or still creepy?
