Our take
Clash of the Thundermans is a short family superhero film. A girl's new power scares the adults, the family splits, then they have a mild showdown. Fine for most kids 8 and up. Sensitive younger kids may find the family fight loud
Uplifting themes
A family argues, then has to choose each other over a rule that would split them for years Siblings and parents keep showing up for the kid whose power is out of control
Story (may spoil tone)
When Chloe develops a destructive new superpower, the Hero League orders her to an elite boarding school for superheroes to learn control of her abilities. Faced with the prospect of sending Chloe away for years, the Thundermans split apart, with Phoebe, Barb and Billy taking her into hiding. Max, Hank, and Nora track their rogue family members, until the two factions face off against each other in a full-on battle for the Thundermans’ future.
