This animated DC film sends the Flash into World War II, where he joins Wonder Woman and a covert Justice Society on the battlefield. Super-powered clashes sit next to guns, aircraft, and the grim pressure of a real war, with a little blood mentioned in the heat of combat. Hell shows up in soldier talk, and the s-word slips out at least once. Teamwork and duty are the bright spots. We put this at 13, with a parent, because the wartime tone is serious even when the animation stays fairly clean.
Uplifting themes
Strangers from different times still choose to stand together against a huge war machine. Duty and looking after ordinary people sit beside the punching. The film keeps coming back to teamwork under pressure Wonder Woman leads with steel and care, and the Flash learns to fight for more than a quick win. The Society models loyalty when the odds look ugly. Heroes here share the load instead of hogging the glory

A world war setting brings air raids, enemy fire, and the fear that people around the team may not come home. Kids who like the Flash's usual lightness can find this stretch grim. The animation stays serious more than nightmare-gory

Guns and wartime weapons are part of the battles, and a line about blood reminds you people can die. Wounds are not lingered on in a graphic way. Parents will notice the hardware more than torn bodies

- The Justice Society keeps working as a team under fire. What helps people stay loyal when the cost of helping is high?
