Our take

Clash of the Titans sends Perseus into fights with monsters, including Medusa and a sea beast. The fantasy setting softens the realism, but the guide still flags blood, deaths, and frightening creature designs. Swearing is relatively mild. We put it at around 14 and up for the sustained monster peril.

Uplifting themes

Perseus learns to protect civilians instead of chasing pure revenge. Teamwork and mercy show up alongside the battles Perseus grows from angry demigod to reluctant leader. Io guides him with patience, though many gods behave badly A light intro to Greek myth names if you pause to explain, though Hollywood changes plenty of the old stories

Story (may spoil tone)

Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus is helpless to save his family from Hades, vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, Perseus and his warriors will only survive if Perseus accepts his power as a god, defies fate and creates his own destiny.
