Two federal agents search the Victorian ranges after a woman disappears on a corporate hike. Force of Nature: The Dry 2 builds its tension through flashbacks, bad weather, arguments and the fear of being lost. Injuries are limited, but the swearing is frequent. We would start at 13.
Uplifting themes
The film is about speaking up when something is wrong and the cost of staying silent. It also shows how guilt and loyalty can push people to hide the truth The agents are patient and smart, and one woman does the right thing at personal cost. Several other characters behave badly, which gives teens a lot to talk about A look at Australian bush country and the basics of bush safety, plus a workplace-ethics thread about reporting wrongdoing. It gives older teens something to talk about on the way home
Story (may spoil tone)
When five women take part in a corporate hiking retreat and only four come out on the other side, Federal Agents Aaron Falk and Carmen Cooper head deep into the Victorian mountain ranges to investigate in the hopes of finding their whistle-blowing informant, Alice Russell, alive.
