Official Rating MA 15+ ClearAge 16+

Why our age differs

Official is MA15+. We say 16+ because the on-screen killings and sustained horror tone sit closer to a strong MA15+ horror title than a standard teen comedy

Our take

Cecilia joins an old friend's hen weekend, bringing years of bullying and resentment with her. Sissy turns that history into a bloody horror story, with graphic killings and plenty of swearing. The social cruelty is part of what makes it uncomfortable. We would wait until 16.

Uplifting themes

The film warns that cruelty on social media and old grudges can explode, but it does not offer a tidy moral beyond that caution

Story (may spoil tone)

Cecilia is a successful social media influencer living the dream, until she runs into her ex-childhood best friend and is invited away on her bachelorette weekend. Suddenly, Sissy finds herself stuck in a remote cabin with her school bully... and a taste for revenge.

The influencer friend group swears in almost every scene, with the f-word used freely during panic and karaoke. Insults get personal and cruel as tensions rise

Two characters kiss, and one briefly unzips the other's trousers and starts to touch them. Friends also make crude jokes about bodies and past hookups. There is no long sex scene, but the physical moment is worth knowing about

Weekend drinking is part of the party vibe, and someone is told to sober up after behaving recklessly. No hard-drug focus

The cabin setting, social-media vanity, and sudden turns into stalking make the back half play like horror. Jumpy teens will feel trapped along with the cast

Past school bullying drives the plot, and present-day cliques still taunt and exclude. Homophobia comes up in an argument about who was really at fault

You see blood, injuries, and dead bodies after the revenge spiral kicks in. The gore stays horror-comedy stylised, with splatter that is graphic but not drawn-out torture

Characters mention anxiety, depression, and OCD in passing while trading barbs at dinner. It is not a therapy story, but the labels are used casually

  • Cecilia curates a perfect online life while old wounds fester. How can you tell when someone's feed hides real pain?
  • The group argues about who was the real bully. What makes an apology feel genuine years later?
