Our take

Anna is seriously ill, and her parents face hospital visits, mounting costs and frightening uncertainty. Miracles from Heaven is a hopeful faith story, but the illness and a fall from a tree can still worry younger children. We would start around 9, especially if hospital stories hit close to home.

Uplifting themes

Prayer, community help, and stubborn parental love carry the story, with gratitude and forgiveness emphasized at the end Christy advocates fiercely for Anna when doctors dismiss her, Kevin wrestles honestly with doubt, and Anna stays warm and brave on screen. Their faith journey is shown with respect, not mockery

Story (may spoil tone)

When Christy discovers her 10-year-old daughter Anna has a rare, incurable disease, she becomes a ferocious advocate for her daughter’s healing as she searches for a solution. After Anna has a freak accident and falls three stories, a miracle unfolds in the wake of her dramatic rescue that leaves medical specialists mystified, her family restored and their community inspired.
