Our take
This Baywatch film is a much cruder version of the television show. The lifeguards tackle a drug case amid fights, strong swearing and constant body and sex jokes. We would keep it for MA 15+ and up.
Uplifting themes
Teamwork and loyalty to the bay matter more than ego by the finale. The film still rewards looking the other way on rule-breaking Mitch is a steady leader, while the rookie grows up some. Many jokes still celebrate objectification and bro culture
Story (may spoil tone)
Devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon butts heads with a brash new recruit. Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.

Characters perform reckless stunts, cliff jumps, and unsupervised rescues played for laughs. Kids may forget these are trained actors

Talk after watching
- The team treats the beach like family. Where did their loyalty help, and where did it let bad choices slide?
- The camera often focuses on bodies more than rescues. How would you film heroes without objectifying them?
