Why our age differs

Official is US R. We say 15+ because the film is mostly raunchy talk and prank chaos rather than graphic sex or hard violence

Our take

The F**k-It List is a teen comedy about a careful senior whose life blows up after a prank, then chases a list of things he wishes he had tried. The f-word is constant, including in the title idea, and sex talk, kissing, and drinking sit in the mix. Copycat pranks and vandalism are played for laughs. We land at US R and up because the language and sexual chatter are pitched at older teens, not middle-school viewers

Uplifting themes

Living honestly beats chasing prestige for its own sake. The film still shows how reckless choices spill onto other people A few friends pull the hero back toward care and apology after the chaos peaks. Most adults stay flustered, punitive, or focused on their own image

Story (may spoil tone)

After a prank blows up a studious high school senior's life, he shares a list of certain things he wishes he'd done differently — and maybe still can.

A school prank and angry confrontations create mess, shouting, and damaged property more than injury. Threat talk stays comic even when adults panic

The f-word is everywhere, from the list itself to everyday teen talk, with plenty of s-word and hell beside it. If strong swearing bothers you, this one never lets up

Kissing a crush, sex jokes, porn talk, and a nude-beach gag keep sexual chatter in play. There is no prolonged explicit sex scene, but the tone is openly crude

Social pile-ons and mean labels follow the viral mess through hallways and group chats. Reputation damage hurts, even when the film plays it for comedy

Prank chemistry, smashing property, and public dares are framed as liberation. Younger teens could treat the stunts as a how-to

Talk after watching

  • A private list becomes public overnight. How would you handle a mistake that suddenly defines you at school?
  • Friends dare each other to take bigger risks. When is 'just say yes' actually a bad idea?
