Our take
Bob Odenkirk returns as a retired assassin whose family vacation turns into a fight against corrupt locals and crime bosses. Rated MA 15+ for strong bloody violence, language throughout and some drug use. Gunfights, beatings and frequent f-word dialogue stay in the same hard-R action vein as the first film. Best for older teens comfortable with graphic action.
Uplifting themes
Family loyalty appears, but revenge and violence dominate
Story (may spoil tone)
Former assassin Hutch Mansell takes his family on a nostalgic vacation to a small-town theme park, only to be pulled back into violence when they clash with a corrupt operator, a crooked sheriff, and a ruthless crime boss.
