Why our age differs

Official is MA 15+. We say 18+ because sexual assault, predatory voyeurism, nudity, and sadistic violence push this into adult territory

Our take

Hollow Man is a dark lab thriller with frequent strong language, graphic violence, and a scientist who uses invisibility to violate privacy and assault someone. Nudity and sexual threat are part of how his power corrupts him. Blood, shootings, and animal harm appear as the team fights back. We land at MA 15+ and up because sexual violence, nudity, voyeurism, and disturbing attacks need an adult recommendation

Story (may spoil tone)

Cocky researcher Sebastian Caine is working on a project to make living creatures invisible. Determined to achieve the ultimate breakthrough, Caine pushes his team to move to the next phase — using himself as the subject. The test is a success, but when the process can't be reversed and Caine seems doomed to future without flesh, he starts to turn increasingly dangerous.

Blood, medical injury, and firearms appear as the experiment collapses. Bodies and wounds are clear without becoming a gore showcase for its own sake

Talk after watching

  • Invisibility removes accountability for Sebastian. How does privacy change when someone thinks they cannot be seen?
  • His team covers for unethical choices early on. When should colleagues refuse to go along?
