Our take
An MA 15+ Netflix crime thriller stars Tom Hardy as a detective fighting through a corrupt city after a botched drug raid. Violence is graphic and constant: shootouts, beatings and bloody injuries fill long action set pieces. Strong language and drug-crime themes run throughout. Best for viewers 16 and up, not anyone expecting a standard cop story.

- Action heroes often break rules to save someone. When does the end stop justifying the means?
