Our take
A slow, atmospheric horror remake about a woman's obsession with a terrifying vampire, rated M for bloody violent images, some sexual content and brief language. Corpse horror, plague dread, shadowy attacks and unsettling intimacy, rather than jump-scare slasher pacing. Best for older teens and adults who handle classic horror mood.
Uplifting themes
Kindness is urged in places, though obsession and doom overshadow uplift Some characters show compassion, yet many choices feed the horror cycle
