Our take
This G Netflix animated adventure scoops Bikini Bottom from the ocean and sends Sandy back to Texas to save her friends. Cartoon chases, a monster-cloning threat, mild naked embarrassment jokes and comic violence keep the tone playful. Fine for elementary SpongeBob fans. Very young kids may find the abduction premise briefly tense.
Uplifting themes
