Our take
Dhurandhar: The Revenge follows undercover agent Hamza as a personal mission against Pakistan's criminal underworld turns Lyari into a killing field. Netflix's raw uncut version runs nearly four hours with R 18+ 18+ violence. Dialogue covers gang rape, mass murder, torture talk, kidnapping and a child killed in gang war. Gun battles, drug scenes and harsh profanity barely pause. Strictly for adult action fans.
Uplifting themes
Responsibility and patriotism are invoked amid the carnage. Those themes sit beside the brutal action Hamza fights corruption, but his methods grow increasingly brutal. Any role-model pull is complicated by that violence
Story (may spoil tone)
As rival gangs, corrupt officials and a ruthless Major Iqbal close in, Hamza's mission for his country spirals into a bloody personal war where the line between patriot and monster disappears in the streets of Lyari.

Talk after watching
- Hamza's patriotism blurs into revenge. When does a mission cross into personal vendetta?
- The film depicts corruption on many sides. Can violence ever truly clean up a city?
