Is God Is adapts Aleshea Harris's play about twin sisters Anaia and Racine sent to kill the father who burned their mother. It is rated US R for strong bloody violence and language. Dialogue is packed with f-word swearing, gun and murder planning, domestic-abuse backstory and a wine-trip reference. Stylized combat, burn scars and a dark revenge tone define the film. Best kept away from younger teens.
