Wonder Woman brings Diana into the world of men during World War I. Trench battles, snipers, and a chemical weapon plot sit next to the Amazon origin myth. The fighting is frequent and loud, though the gore stays controlled for a war adventure. Language is mostly hell and damn. There is a discreet overnight closeness between adults, sexism toward Diana, and a heavy goodbye late in the film. Teens around 13 and up who like heroic fantasy should cope, with a parent nearby for the wartime dread.
Uplifting themes
Diana keeps choosing love and protection even after she learns how cruel war can be. Belief in ordinary people's worth becomes the moral spine. It is one of the clearer hopeful threads in modern superhero films Diana leads with courage and compassion, and Steve's crew show loyalty that costs them. They argue, doubt, and still show up for civilians in the path of harm. Messy humans trying to do right sit beside the demigod power
Story (may spoil tone)
An Amazon princess comes to the world of Man in the grips of the First World War to confront the forces of evil and bring an end to human conflict.

Trench assaults, gunfire, sword fights, and a mythic showdown with Ares run through the second half. No Man's Land is a sustained combat set piece with real wartime threat. Blood stays limited beside the scale of the battles

Hell and damn show up in soldier talk and startled reactions, plus a bloody hell from the British crew. Stronger f-words are not the texture here. Soft-language homes may still notice the mild swearing

Diana and Steve share a discreet overnight closeness after a dance, implied more than shown. Early chat also brushes against sex and gender in a curious, awkward way. Nothing explicit appears on screen

Beer shows up in a smuggling joke about German and British lines, and smoke drifts across battlefield scenes. Drinking is background colour only. It never becomes a focus of the story

Gas warfare, muddy trenches, and civilians under fire create a heavy wartime dread. Ares and the weapon plot add mythic menace on top of that. Sensitive teens may feel the war stretches more than the Amazon opening

Young Diana trains in combat on Themyscira and sneaks into adult warrior spaces she is told to avoid. She is capable and watched over, yet still a child near real weapons. Those beats are short and adventurous in tone

Men in London and at the war council dismiss Diana for being a woman in their rooms. Sexist digs and underestimation follow her into planning meetings. She pushes past it, and the film clearly sides with her

Rifles, swords, and wartime munitions are constant, and soldiers fall in open battle. Injury detail is present without lingering on torn bodies. The cost of war is clear even when the camera moves on

Charlie's wartime shell shock shows up as shaking hands and sudden fear during quiet moments. The film treats it as a real wound from battle. It is a supporting beat, handled with some care
Grief / bereavement A late sacrifice and the wider death toll of the war hit Diana hard aft…
A late sacrifice and the wider death toll of the war hit Diana hard after she has fallen for the people she is trying to save. Mourning sits inside the victory, not only after the credits. Families should plan a check-in afterward

Talk after watching
- Diana believes people are worth saving even after she sees war up close. What keeps compassion alive when the news is ugly?
- Steve makes a hard choice for everyone else. When is sacrifice brave, and when is it too much to ask?
