Our take

Ocean's Eight follows a group planning a stylish jewellery theft. The banter, disguises, and cleverness make the heist look fun, while violence is minimal. Swearing is mild to moderate, and vodka, cigarettes, and a cannabis joke appear in adult conversation. We put it at around 13 and up, with room to talk about the film's glamorous view of stealing.

Uplifting themes

Friendship, skill-sharing, and women backing each other give the con a warm centre. The goal is still a theft. Loyalty looks good even when the plan is shady Each woman brings a craft, from fashion to hacking to driving, and the leader trusts her crew. They are crooks, not saints. Competence and mutual respect still read clearly A light peek at event security, fashion weeks, and how teams specialise may spark curiosity. It is entertainment first. Any real lesson is about planning, not jewels

Story (may spoil tone)

Debbie Ocean, a criminal mastermind, gathers a crew of female thieves to pull off the heist of the century at New York's annual Met Gala.

A brief chase and the usual heist tension are about as physical as it gets. Nobody is beaten or shot for sport. The thrills come from sneaking, not punching

The s-word shows up in banter, with hell, crap, b-word, a-word, and one clear f-word line later on. Swearing is casual and mostly light. It sounds like adults joking through a job

Gossip about who slept with whom appears in a throwaway line. There is no sex scene and no nudity focus. Romance and flirtation stay secondary to the con

Vodka orders, smoking jokes, and a weed excuse sit in the adult chatter around the heist. Nobody spirals into addiction on screen. Drink and smoke mark glamorous nights more than a warning story

Forgery, disguises, and bypassing security are presented as clever teamwork. The polish of the heist may make crime seem easier or more appealing than it is
