Our take

Legion is loud supernatural horror with possessed humans, shootouts, and grotesque body horror in a roadside diner. Strong language is frequent, including the f-word and harsh insults. A pregnant young woman is at the centre of the siege, and the threat against her unborn child is constant. Beer and smoking talk appear in the downtime between attacks. We land at MA 15+ and up because the gore and relentless possession dread match a restricted horror watch

Uplifting themes

Ordinary people risk themselves to protect someone vulnerable. Hope and human loyalty push back against a story that otherwise feels bleak Some diner strangers choose courage and care when panic would be easier. Others panic, insult, or freeze under pressure

Story (may spoil tone)

When God loses faith in humankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Humanity's only hope for survival lies in a group of strangers trapped in an out-of-the-way, desert diner with the Archangel Michael.

Talk after watching

  • Strangers have to trust each other under attack. What makes someone earn trust when everything feels unsafe?
  • The story mixes faith language with monster-movie violence. How do you talk about belief without turning fear into hate?
