Freakier Friday

Movie 2025 110 min Comedy, Fantasy, Family Last reviewed 1 Sep 2026
Official Rating PG ClearAge 10+ Quality ★★★☆☆

Our take

Freakier Friday is rated PG for thematic elements, rude humor, language, and some suggestive references. The sequel brings back mother-daughter body-swap chaos with wedding planning, teen dating jokes, and mild profanity. Dialogue mentions wine, therapist banter, and body-image song lyrics. A step up from G-rated family fare but still aimed at tweens and parents

Uplifting themes

Empathy, family communication, and seeing life from another view Mother and daughter learn to listen and support each other

Story (may spoil tone)

Years after Tess and Anna endured an identity crisis, Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover lightning might indeed strike twice.
