A grieving girl's monster drawings come alive after a magic-pond accident in this PG family fantasy. Jump scares, kids in real peril, fantasy blood and chopped limbs, mild rude language, and a heavy mother-loss theme all sit under the jokes. Very young kids can find it too much.
