Our take
A Netflix PG animated musical spin-off. Plankton's marriage to his computer wife turns chaotic when she tries to destroy the world. Classic cartoon smacks, explosions and mild name-calling appear, without blood or mature themes. Best for ages 8+.
Uplifting themes
Themes of marriage, obsession and forgiveness appear lightly Characters are comically flawed, but they reconcile
Story (may spoil tone)
Plankton's tangled love story with his sentient computer wife goes sideways when she takes a stand — and decides to destroy the world without him.
